For me, pinhole photography is all about what does not make it into the picture. A modern camera can sometimes get in the way of expressing an idea or emotion by expressing too much detail and sharpness. That extra information distracts from the main idea. Pinhole cameras are by design low fidelity image capture devices. Reality is stripped away and we are left with ideas, shapes and form.
The the unique characteristics of pinhole photography like extreme depth of field, long exposure times and no minimum focal distance adds another level of complexity to the photos. Alternative process print techniques like helps the reduction process even further.
